A few years ago, our school was introduced to the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) MAP Test. Our school used the data from the progress monitoring assessment to track student growth. We used the data from the test to determine if our students were making their yearly growth and if the Bottom 30% were closing the achievement gap through our enrichment classes.
To help track their RIT scores and develop goals for our students, I created this spreadsheet. Teachers in my school seemed to find it useful. One of our instructional coaches said I should put it on Teachers Pay Teachers. I think sharing the wealth is more beneficial to teachers than earning a few pennies. So, if you want to check this out, click the link below. It will take you to a copy page where you can add it directly to your Google Drive.
If you don't like this resource, that's okay. If you do like it, share it.

How to Use:
- Find the tab at the bottom of the Sheet for the subject you will be collecting data for.
- Type or copy student names into the left two columns.
- Enter students' Fall RIT scores into the red RIT Score column. Using conditional formatting, the cell will change color based on their score. The key at the bottom of the sheet will help you identify the grade level your students' are performing at for each test. (The numbers being used are the 2015 RIT performance numbers. When new numbers are released, I will be updating them.)
- Enter students' growth projection number into the grey Growth Projection column.
- Student goal numbers will automatically calculate and round to the nearest whole number.
- As students take their Winter and Spring assessment, enter their data into the appropriate column. The goal met columns to the far right will change from No to Yes if students meet their goal.
