But, in the back of my mind, there has always been this What if? that has always existed. What if I had decided to stick with broadcasting? What would my life be like? Would I have made a successful career for myself?
A couple of years ago, I began writing this blog on the advice of a few colleagues and professional learning community team members. They explained that I had some good ideas and I should put them out there for someone to read. I have never been interested in "getting numbers" to my blog, just hoping to get my ideas out to share with people who might be able to use them. Because of a change in employment, I took a break away from blogging (starting a new teaching job is a long process that takes a large chunk of your focus), but I vowed to make a return so I could keep sharing my ideas and viewpoints. I also thought about a format change.
Starting next year, I have decided to take the next step and combine my two passions: teaching and broadcasting. I have decided to start a podcast about the world of middle level education. I have a few ideas about how to structure the cast, length of time, and featuring guests. It will be a process, but I am looking forward to the challenge of developing this podcast into something people will actually want to listen to. I hope you will join me in 2019 as I create the My Middle Level Mind podcast.
If you have ideas to share or tips to give, leave them in the comments or Tweet at me. Happy belated Thanksgiving to all of you! I look forward to growing with you as we close out 2018 and enter 2019 together.
